Avant Guard Art Education Workshops, 1997 - 2000
This program gave the P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center Security Guards a more comprehensive look at the contemporary and historical art world, to enable a deeper understanding of the environment in which they work, to enrich the environment in which they live, and to use art as a tool to express themselves.
Workshops included: docent training, visits to other institutions, art-making workshops, artist lecture series, GED Classes, high school student security guard dropout prevention workshops, and preparator training.
